Critical Review of Qurat-ul-Ain Haider’s Autobiographical Novel “Kar-e-Jahan Daraz Hay”
Abstract
Qurat-ul-Ain Haider was born in 1927 in Aligarh. This was the time when British Rule was at its full swing. But meanwhile political activities began after establishment of Khilafat Movement. Aini brought in the United India where inter-religion harmony was existed and people lived with peace and prosperity.But, eventually with the start of the 2nd World War the interior atmosphere of the country became polluted with dirty politics. Qurat-ul-Ain a young citizen witnessed all the situation and experienced the crash of civilization.In her autobiography “Kar-e-Jahan Daraz Hai”, she told not only the family’s matter but also narrated historical events of that era. In this article, efforts have been made to take critical analysis of the autobiographical novel.
