Abstract

This comprehensive review delves into the translations of renowned author Paulo Coelho's novels by two prominent Urdu translators, Dr. Saeed Ahmad and Faheem Ahmad Sabri. Dr. Saeed Ahmad, an established figure in Urdu literary circles, has successfully translated three of Coelho's novels: "Girya Bar Kinar e Darya," "Teer Andaz," and "Roshni ka Jangu." His translations are characterized by an intriguing and easily understandable style, described as inimitably easy. Employing literary translation methods, Dr. Saeed Ahmad's work stands out for its unique approach and contribution to Urdu literature.In parallel, Faheem Ahmad Sabri, emerging as a notable translator in Urdu literature, has translated several Coelho novels, including "Daryae Peidra Ke Kinara Bati Mein Ruti Rahi," "11 Minute," and "Roshni ka Jangu." Sabri's translations are praised for their smoothness and fluidity, adding a distinctive touch to the literary landscape.
