Abstract

The word "Fiction" has been used and popular in Urdu, but there is confusion in its meaning. Therefore, it is very important to understand its literal and terminological meanings. This word has come from English to Urdu. There was a need in Urdu for a word that could cover all story based genres such as Fabel, Novel, Novelette, Short Story and Micro-fiction etc. In this sense, the term fiction was coined. Fiction is the literary term in which the story is based on literary principles. And it is offered according to the requirements. The story is the most interesting thing in the world, so it is not surprising that it began when man learned to walk on his knees. The history of the story is the history of human life and its increasing complexity. There are forces at work, among them instinct is very important. Innate forces shape the human personality.
