Abstract

In contemporary world, Modern Urdu Afsana is taking big steps. It has been achieving excellence with the passage of time. New genres are being introduced and its producing revolutionary changes in intellectual and ideological fronts. Not only writer but reader also is affected by these major changes in Urdu Afsana. Our Urdu Afsana can only be reached to new heights if it was updated and regularized with new world. Our society, writers and readers must break the shackles of obscurity, insanity, narrowmindedness and traditionalist. These are the major obstacles in way of our Urdu literature. Mufti Prem Chand was considered the pioneer in Urdu Afsana who discussed various social, political and psychological issues in his writings.  It will also address issues and loopholes present in today’s reader. Various aspects of human life being affected due to Urdu Afsana will also be taken into account in this piece of writing.
