A Study of Asif Jannif's Poetry Collection "Nazmagi" in the Light of Metaphysics

Abstract

Metaphysics is basically related to philosophy. It is a branch of philosophy which refers to provide information about those objects which are beyond our understanding and wisdom. Similarly, it is not related to a matter that has physical and material existence. Even though ,the return of the senses is not possible. Likewise, Asif Jannif is a prominent author and his poetry collection named "NAZMAGI", is a well-known and eminent work in urdu literature. In this poetry collection, he has narrated the subject of human existence, theology and mystical universe. There is uniformity in the themes of most of the poems in the poetry collection such as it includes the conflict between the universe and the subjugated universe, the access to the essence of the creator of the universe, the river of curiosity and curiosity etc. Besides it, the mythological style as well as metaphysical elements such as symbolism and storytelling are also present in the various poems of the poet.
