Abstract

Nayyer  Masood has extracted such amazing ways of telling fables  in his fiction that there seem no discrimination between reality and fiction and same has been referred to Magical Realism .The old streets, markets and people of Lucknow come to life while we read Nayyer Masood’s  fiction. Although, he has not  added history and culture in his fiction consciously , but on the other hand, his unconsciousness has successfully intervowen the vanishing culture and history in his fiction, Perhaps, this is what makes his fiction a tremendous  success. The History of nineteenth century has shown in his stories. His fiction is a successful blend of history and fiction. Ancient branches of knowledge and life style of previous centuries are real beauty and subject matter of  Nayyer Masood’s Fiction.
