Abstract

The personality of Dr. Iqbal Afaqi needs no introduction. There are many aspects of his life. His main connection is with the field of teaching and learning, as a famous teacher of philosophy, prominent intellectual of Urdu language and literature, critic, translator, researcher, philosopher, journalist and editor, his  academic and intellectual efforts have been going on for a long time. The personality of Dr. Iqbal Afaqi is among the few critics of science and literature who are used to sitting in closed rooms and doing their work with integrity without desiring fame. It is estimated how much work they have done in their life. His field of research, criticism and editing extends to practical and theoretical criticism, values, culture, history and post-modernism. He also has a unique position as a critic of Urdu fiction.
