Post-Colonial Theory, Urdu Nazam and Muhammad Saleem Ur Rehman
Abstract
Colonialism is strictly referred to the policies and Methods by an Imperial Power maintained and extended its control over the territories or People. A policy of extending a Country’s Power and influence through diplomacy or military. It also affects the literature of the Subject Country which is controlled by the colonialist. The Policy or practice of acquiring full or partial Political control over another country, occupying it with settlers and exploiting it economically. A policy of extending a country’s power and Influence through Diplomacy or military. Muhammad Saleem Ur Rehman a poet, Translator, Researcher and Critic born on 12 April 1934 at Saharan Pur in India. His Poetry reflects Post- Colonial effects as well as his Criticism and Translation. His book نظمیں، قلبِ ظلمات، جہاں گرد کی واپسی represent much poems, translatory work and research essays about this theory. He has passed much time under the rule of British Government and feel much trouble of thinking due to Colonial system upon the people of Hindustan and Pakistan. This Article Present an analysis of colonial system and its impact on Urdu Poem and also talks about work of a poet Saleem Ur Rehman according to this theory.
