Abstract

Akbar Allah Abadi was a renowned  Urdu poet . he was famous for his humorous poetry.Although his poetry covered themes of both humorous and serious nature but yet he is liked due to his humorous Urdu  poetry.Allama Iqbal was also a great admirer of his humorous poetry. He was not only a poet but also a prose writer and very few people know this fact. Though he did not write much in prose but his available prose work is enough to make him alive in Urdu literature as a prose writer. In this article his prose  writing skills will be analyzed which will reflect his literary intellect and his socio-economic circumstance in which he was living.  From the number of manuscripts of Akbar's Mukto-baat that have been found, it is proved that Akbar was not completely interested in the matters of writing Mukto-baat. There was no definite intention, if they had thought like that, they would have given a nod to the use of food.
