Elements of Sociology in The Stories Collection of ‘‘Angare

Abstract

In December 1932, Nizami Press, Victoria Street, Lucknow published a collection of Nine stories and One play titled as "Angare". This collection had One hundred and Thirty - Four (134) pages in total. The collection involved the joint - venture of four writers naming; Sajjad Zaheer, Ahmed Ali, Rashid Jahan and Mahmood - Ul - Z afar. This collection of legends writers has great importance in the field of sociology. In which pr ogressive writers have written stories, which almost reflect the burning issues of society in a better way. Various aspects of society and community are discussed in these stories. If the stories of this collection are examined being a sociological point o f view, we meet with social and societal aspects which are being narrated in the quoted stories, which helped to resolve the such problems which we face in our daily life. The social aspects are discussed in this research article, which will facilitate the readers, who want to read and comprehend ‘’ Angare’’ in a sociological context .
