Abstract

From a technical perspective, a travelogue is regarded as a form of non-fictional literature. Beyond merely discovering or introducing a region, a travelogue often provides valuable insights into the social and cultural values of the people in different countries. Many professionals who have travelled to Italy and pursued their work there recorded their experiences in writing. Italy holds significant importance in the world due to its culture, religion, and arts. Moreover, being one of the largest economies globally, Italy also maintains close economic and diplomatic relations with Pakistan. For this reason, several Pakistani poets and writers visited Italy and particularly highlighted its cultural environment and social conditions in their works. Thus, Urdu travelogues provide a detailed reflection of Italy’s social values and cultural attitudes.
