Ph.D-Level Research Theses on Iqbal Studies in the Department of Iqbaliyat, Allama Iqbal Open University: A Research and Analytical Study

Abstract

History of Urdu literature is abundant with prose writers and poets. Some are expertise in prose writing while others in poetry. The deficiency of the time was that an intellectual personality who is prowess in both fields was remained amateurish. As a rising star Allama Iqbal appeared who had grip in prose and poetry. He is not only the poet of East but also his famous personality is actively flourishing all over the world. That’s why in the whole world, universities are being conducted research work on him. In the Allama Iqbal Open University, there is a specific department named Iqbaliat working properly and introducing new aspects on the life of Allama Iqbal. There are thirty research thesis have been completed at Ph.D level and this work is continuously growing and researching at daily basis.The cause of writing this article comprises on research and analysis of these thesis, and it will introduce the standard of research work of Allama Iqbal Open University.
