Abstract

The importance of print media in any era or society cannot be overstated. It plays a vital role in keeping people informed about events and developments taking place around the world. Among the various forms of print media, newspapers have long been regarded as the "fifth pillar" of a nation due to their significant contribution to public awareness and democratic discourse. Among the different sections of a newspaper, the editorial page holds particular importance. It reflects the newspaper's editorial policy, ideological stance, and institutional perspective on current affairs. Editorials provide informed opinions and critical analyses of pressing national and international issues, offering insights into their causes, implications, and possible solutions. By shaping public opinion, encouraging critical thinking, and influencing policy debates, editorials serve as powerful agents of social and political change. Therefore, the editorial page occupies a distinctive and indispensable place in modern journalism.
