Critical Analysis of Ghulam Mustafa’s Novel Gurmeet Kour

Abstract

This research articles deals with the critical evaluation of a novel Gurmeet Kour. The central theme is personal transformation. Nawaz is the main character of the novel whose journey shows that a person can change despite making mistakes and facing difficult circumstances. Other important themes include migration, struggle, perseverance, cultural adjustment, love, and redemption. Nawaz can be seen as a dynamic character because his personality changes significantly throughout the story. His experiences in the village and Canada shape his understanding of life. His imprisonment and other difficulties serve as turning points that encourage him to become more responsible. The novel also presents Canada not simply as a place of opportunity, but as a place where Nwaz must prove himself through hardship and hard work, Ultimately, the happy marriage represents a new beginning and suggests that sincere effort and positive change can lead the better life.
