This research article examines the profound and multifaceted influence of Allama Muhammad Iqbal on the poets of his own era. Although Iqbal’s literary eminence reached its zenith after his lifetime, the foundation of his popularity was firmly established during his own age. A closed study of contemporary poetic works reveals that many poets consciously or unconsciously adopted Iqbal’s stylistic and thematic tendencies. Some writers exhibit a clear inclination towards replicating Iqbal’s diction, imagery, similes and metaphors, while others follow his philosophical insights and ideological concerns. Similarly, certain poets emulate Iqbal’s artistic craftsmanship, whereas others draw inspiration from the intellectual depth embedded in his poetry. By analyzing these diverse patterns of influence, this study aims to highlight pervasive presence of Iqbal’s poetic spirit in the works of his contemporaries and to demonstrate how Iqbal’s thought and style shaped the broader literary landscape of his time. Mix methodology has been used in this study. This research has concluded that most of Iqbal’s contemporaries were influenced by Iqbal.
