Analytical Study of Pakistani Newspapers in Iqbal Studies

Abstract

This article presents an analytical study of Pakistani newspapers that have promoted Iqbal’s friendship. Newspapers have played a key role in highlighting Iqbal’s awareness. Newspapers which have published special Iqbal numbers are discussed here. Such newspapers have saved their name in Dabistan-e-Iqbal by publishing special publications on Iqbal. Publishing Allama Iqbal’s thoughts and ideas in newspaper, magazines and journals is a very welcome thing for the young generation. Thoughts of Iqbal impart knowledge of life and its origins to younger generation. Iqbal wanted to put man on the path of endeavor and action. Here the daily “Hilal Pakistan”, the daily “Naqoos”, the daily “Masawat”, the daily “Millat” and the daily “Pakistan” have been analyzed. Special articles and essays on Iqbal were published in these newspapers. Apart from these, the tradition of Iqbalism was also presented in the daily “Jinnah”, “Pakistan”, “On Record”, “Nawa-e-waqt” and “Jang”.
